THREADS OF A WEDDING DRESS.
Today I visited my friend from grade 1 in the hospice she is in many miles away. With me was another friend and her husband also living miles away. In the 1960's my friend, in the hospice, had a dress made for a masonic ball which was crepe, short sleeve empire line with lace under the bodice and on the sleeves. My friend, later, added a short train which she wore to her wedding on the 2/11/1968. I wore the dress on the 16/11/1968 and the other friend wore it later for her wedding in the 60's. To us the dress was a dress, white for wedding and costing very little, nothing actually! Money was for a deposit on a house. Today all three at 68, shared teenage stories, young mum memories, funny stories regarding children, and grandchildren and though the original owner of the dress could only smile and speak quietly we had a ball! I am blessed with these memories and we three are bound by the threads of this dress. I am truly blessed! short wedding dresses with sleeves
